SUPPORT |
| The program offers
personal support to young carers that is tailored to their individual
needs. For example; someone to talk to, help to identify future
options, support to deal with problems, identifying personal abilities
and skills, support to pursue personal interests. |

RECREATIONAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES |
|
Opportunities to meet with other young carers
in a fun and safe environment. Activities include; retreats, outings,
camps and weekend activities. |
|
|
INFORMATION and ADVOCACY |
| Assisting Young Carers to access information and
support that is relevant to their needs and interests. For example;
information about caring, young carers rights, respite options for
families, information about disabilities and illness and services and
agencies available to young people. |

|
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT |
| Developing skills that
can help with caring role and life in general e.g. self-care, stress
management, first aid and dealing with emotions. |
|
|
PEER SUPPORT & LEADERSHIP PROGRAM |
| Raw Energy values the
importance of young cares providing leadership and support to other
young carers in the program. This is an opportunity for young people
to further develop their skills, knowledge and experiences. There is
also the option of gaining SACE accreditation for their role. |

|
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT |
| Working with schools to
create carer friendly school environments, organising tutoring,
support in coping with school pressures and other educational options. |
|
|
YOUNG
CARER RESPITE |
| Raw Energy is able to offer Young Carers
with Respite when needed. This could mean that we provide a care
worker to assist the young person in the home. It could also mean
providing time out for families as a whole. |

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM |
|
An opportunity for members of the community to
be actively involved in working with young people in a caring role.
The program offers a wide range of roles and opportunities to
volunteers
Including; supervising recreational activities,
administration support, preparing young carers newsletter and
transport. |
